Congratulations to Professor Fred Munson, winner of the Dr. G. Venkataswamy Endowment Award 2018

This year’s Dr. G. Venkataswamy Oration Award was presented to Fred Munson, PhD, Professor Emeritus, at the University of Michigan, School of Public Health. Professor Munson’s association with Aravind spans more than 40 years, and his teaching and mentoring have had a profound impact on Aravind’s own development, as well as our work with 300-plus hospitals across the world. The Dr. G. Venkataswamy Endowment Award recognizes outstanding professionals in ophthalmology and vision sciences whose work takes humanity a step closer to the goal of eliminating needless blindness.
