Thank you to Umberto Romano and Clorinda Romano Foundation for the gift of hope

This summer, Aravind received a grant from the Umberto Romano and Clorinda Romano Foundation to provide free treatment to patients with retinoblastoma (eye cancer) through our Ring of Hope program. Established in 2004, the Ring of Hope pays for treatment of patients suffering from ocular cancers, mostly children between the ages of 0 and 5 years. A full course of treatment – diagnostic tests, surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, genetic testing, and follow-up visits — is well beyond the means of most Indian parents. This grant will truly bring hope to 15 patients and their families.
